Ayurvedic Consultation
Ayurvedic medicine is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems. It originated in India and is thought to be over 5000 years old. Ayurveda means the “science of life” and it is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. In Ayurvedic medicine, individuals have different “doshas” or body types. There are three main types and each has different needs in terms of the types of foods, exercise and lifestyle factors that are most beneficial. If you would like to learn more about your dosha and what recommendations to follow for optimal health, I would be happy to schedule an in person, phone or Zoom consultation.
Integrative Mental Health Consultation
Are you interested in learning more about how integrative health recommendations can help you to feel your best? Integrative medicine is healing-oriented and considers the whole person, including all aspects of lifestyle. It emphasizes the therapeutic relationship between practitioner and patient, is informed by evidence, and makes use of all appropriate therapies. This might include Ayurveda, but could also include other aspects of cutting-edge science, such as research on the gut brain connection and how the probiotics in your gut can affect mood or how low doses of melatonin may help you to sleep better as you age. Together we can look at how integrative approaches can help you to feel your best. I would be happy to schedule an in person, phone or Zoom consultation.
